Born at Tjiturulnga, West of Kintore. In her late teens, (1956) Walangkura with her family, moved  to Haasts Bluff, with a group of other Pintubi people, but returned to her home lands  Walungurru (Kintore) in 1981.

She commenced painting for Papunya Tula artists in 1996.
In 1994, Walangkura took part in the historic Walungurru (Kintore) and Ikuntji (Haasts bluff) Manyma Tjukurrpa painting project.

She began painting for the Papunya Tula Artists in 1996. And has not looked back since. Her artworks are highly sought after, and are displayed in many prestigious institutions. Walangkura Napanangka now lives at Kiwirrkura with her husband.
