My name is Geoff Small and I am the proprietor of the ‘DESERT ART CENTRE’ based in Alice Springs, Northern Territory & Gold Coast, Queensland.
We have operated now for over 10 years as a studio, and have directly been involved with the Central Desert Indigenous Artists and their families/communities for over 17 years. In 2016 we opened our first Gallery to the public;

As the Aboriginal Art Movement (particularly from the central and western desert) has moved consistently from strength to strength in recent years and looks in no way to abate in the future, we have recently made the decision to upscale our operations.
Now in larger premises, fully catered, we have in residence various highly regarded and innovative artists on any given day.
Whether we are out on a community staying with the families and procuring amazing artworks, or accommodating them with their families here in Alice Springs, we pride ourselves in the knowledge that the direct proceeds of any sales of their artworks, not only benefits the artist, but their immediate family, thus giving them greater empowerment in the control of their lives and futures, breaking the chains of government doctrine and dependency.
